Village of Forest Park Selects Total Parking Solutions, Inc & Cale for Commuter Lot

The Village of Forest Park has selected Total Parking Solutions, Inc to install Cale multi-space meters into their CTA commuter parking lot. The installation will consist of three Pay by Space terminals that will allow several forms of payment, including coins, bills, credit cards and a community parking debit card.

The parking debit card will be sold at the commuter station via a card-dispensing unit with a preloaded value on the card. The customer will be able to reload value to the cards at the parking terminals or at the card-dispensing unit.

This new Pay by Space system, which differs from the Pay & Display terminals at The CTA managed commuter lot to the south of the line, will greatly increase the efficiency of enforcement and provide a secure and accurate means of revenue collection. The terminals will also provide parking patrons with a system that operates as a “pay and board”, instead of forcing the patron back to their car to place a receipt on their dashboard.  The Pay by Space terminals will also provide a receipt for proof of payment and for expense and tax records.

 

City of Des Plaines Awards Total Parking Solutions, Inc Parking Fare Meters Contract

The City of Des Plaines has awarded Total Parking Solutions, Inc of Downers Grove, the parking fare meter contract for the Cumberland Avenue station. Total Parking will be installing four Cale meters at the Metra commuter parking lot location. The meters will be installed to operate as Pay by Space and will accept coins, bills and a city debit-parking card. The Cale terminals will replace existing and aging Schlumberger/Parkeon equipment.

The new Cale terminals will greatly increase the efficiency and reliability for the City, as well as, providing increased reliability for customer use. The Cale terminals will provide Des Plaines with up to date technology and greater flexibility for the future.

City of West Chicago Awards Total Parking Solutions, Inc Contract

The City of West Chicago has awarded Total Parking Solutions, Inc of Downers Grove, the parking fare meter contract for the Metra commuter lot. Total Parking Solutions, Inc will be installing two Cale meters at the Metra commuter parking lot location. The meters will be installed to operate as Pay by Space and will accept coins, bills and a city debit-parking card. The Cale terminals will replace existing and aging Schlumberger/Parkeon equipment. The City parking cards will come with a preloaded value and will be available to purchase through a vending terminal located at the Metra station. The cards can be reloaded with value at the parking fare terminals when the initial value is depleted.

The new Cale terminals will greatly increase the efficiency and reliability for the City, as well as, providing increased reliability for customer use. The Cale terminals will provide West Chicago with up to date technology and greater flexibility for the future.

 

New Station to Receive Parking Fare Terminals

The Village of New Lenox has elected to install an electronic parking fare system for the new Metra station located at Laraway and Cedar Roads. Total Parking Solutions, Inc was chosen by the Village to install this system. Total Parking Solutions, Inc, of Downers Grove, will install four Cale 104XL terminals that will be networked together in order to allow patrons to pay at any terminal and allow the Village to run enforcement for the entire system from one terminal. The meters will be installed to operate as Pay by Space and will accept coins, bills and a city debit-parking card.  The Village will also install a parking card vending terminal in the station to allow patrons to purchase the card at their convenience. These cards can easily be recharged at any of the parking fare terminals when the card balance is depleted.

The new Cale terminals will greatly increase the efficiency of enforcement and provide a reliable means for the parking patrons to make payments and obtain a receipt for proof of payment for expenses or tax purposes. The overall flexibility of the system will allow the Village to expand the system as the demand for parking grows at the new station along with the areas population.

 

City of Crystal Lake Turns to Total Parking Solutions, Inc & Cale for Metra Commuter Lots Solution

 The City of Crystal Lake, IL has selected to install Cale multi-space meters into their Metra commuter parking lot. The installation will consist of fourteen Pay by Space terminals and will accept coins, bills and a community parking debit card. The installation of the Pay by Space terminals is the first phase of a complete parking overhaul approved by the city council. In coordination with a parking study performed last year by the city, and based upon the recommendations from an outside consulting firm to maximize parking supply, all permit parking at the commuter station will be eliminated. Total Parking Solutions, Inc will be renumbering and resigning all commuter-parking areas for Crystal Lake.

The parking debit card will be sold at the Metra station in a card-vending terminal with a preloaded value on the card. The customer will be able to reload value to the cards at the parking terminals.

Total Parking Solutions, Inc Installs Cale Multi Space Meters for Metra Commuter Lots 

In an on-going effort to ease operational burdens at their commuter parking lots, Metra has initiated a program with Total parking Solutions, Inc. of Downers Grove to install Pay By Space parking terminals at Metra’s Ashburn and Wrightwood commuter parking lots in Chicago.

Total Parking Solutions, Inc will be installing four Cale meters at each location. The meters will be installed to operate as Pay by Space and will accept coins and bills. The use of multi-space equipment is part of a technology initiative that will help Metra improve the operational aspects of the commuter parking lots.

This new system will greatly increase the efficiency of enforcement and provide a secure and accurate means of collection of the funds. The terminals will also provide parking patrons with a receipt as proof of payment.

City of Harvard Selects Total Parking Solutions, Inc & Cale for Metra Commuter Lots

 The City of Harvard, IL has selected to install Cale multi-space meters into their Metra commuter parking lot. The installation will consist of two Pay by Space terminals and will accept coins, bills and a community parking debit card.

The parking debit card will be sold through the City hall with a preloaded value on the card. The customer will be able to reload value to the cards at the parking terminals.

This new system will greatly increase the efficiency of enforcement and provide a secure and accurate means of collection of the funds. The terminals will also provide parking patrons with a receipt as proof of payment.

In an effort to help offset the initial cost for the installation and to make the Harvard commuter lot rate comparable to other community lots, the city has voted to increase the daily rate for commuter parking.

City of Ypsilanti Selects Total Parking Solutions, Inc & Cale for Community Lots

 The City of Ypsilanti, MI has selected to install Cale multi-space meters into their downtown area parking lots. One community lot will be serviced by Pay by Space equipment and another lot by Pay & Display equipment. Currently, the meters will accept coins and bills.

This type of technology is not new to Ypsilanti; they have used this technology for many years. The Cale units will be replacing old generation Schlumberger equipment.
