The City of Des Plaines has awarded Total Parking Solutions, Inc of Downers Grove, the parking fare meter contract for the Cumberland Avenue station. Total Parking will be installing four Cale meters at the Metra commuter parking lot location. The meters will be installed to operate as Pay by Space and will accept coins, bills and a city debit-parking card. The Cale terminals will replace existing and aging Schlumberger/Parkeon equipment. The new Cale terminals will greatly increase the efficiency and reliability for the City, as well as, providing increased reliability for customer use. The Cale terminals will provide Des Plaines with up to date technology and greater flexibility for the future.
