Early in 2021, AT&T informed Flowbird/Cale that all 3G communication will phased out in 2022, requiring their equipment to be converted to 4G. TPS notified all of their affected customers of this as well as the cost associated with this upgrade.
However, as an option, they were presented with the opportunity to purchase and upgrade their pay station with a conversion kit that, in essence, converts their machines to the latest and greatest Flowbird CWT (Cale Web Terminal) at 1/3 the cost of new machines. This conversion kit offer includes the 4G modem this year only.
Elmhurst, Western Springs, North Chicago, Wheeling, and Fontana, Wi. have taken advantage so far.
